Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) 2023-2024 online application is now open for eligible candidates who have interest of pursuing their PhD Degree Program in Singapore. The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a merit-based award for student with great academic records. This international award is open for students from any part of the world interested in taking their research to a greater level.
The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a collaboration between the Agency of science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and the Singapore Management University (SMU).
PhD training will be carried out in English at your chosen lab at A*STAR Research Institutes, NTU, NUS, SUTD or SMU. Students will be supervised by distinguished and world-renowned researchers in these labs. Upon successful completion, students will be conferred a PhD degree by either NTU, NUS, SUTD or SMU.

Coverage Benefit of Singapore International Graduate Award 2023
The Singapore International Award provides support for up to 4 years of PhD studies including:
- Full tuition fees
- You get a one-time settling allowance of S$1,000.
- Monthly pay of S$2,200. After passing the qualifying examination, it will be increase to S$2,700.
- You will get a one-time airfare funding of up to S$1,500.
- You will receive a settling-in allowance of up to S$1,000.
Criteria for the Singapore International Graduate Award 2023
- Applicants must be an International Student.
- Applicants who have once studied in Singapore are not eligible for this award.
- Applicants must have good skills in written and spoken English.
- Applicants must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree program.
- Application is open for only students who wants to pursue their Ph.D. program in science and engineering disciplines.
- Applicants must have good reports from academic referees.

The following Documents are required for the SINGA Award 2023:
- A valid passport.
- Recent passport photograph (must be provided in either .jpeg or .png format).
- Letter of Motivation.
- Application Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Copies of all academic Transcripts (it must be in English Language translation).
- Letter of Intent
- 2 recommendation letters to be submitted online by your referees.
- IELTS / TOEFL / SAT I & II / GATE results (optional).
- GRE scores will be required if you are applying for NUS supervisor/projects.

- Go to Research Areas and Select your preferred projects.
- Begin your online application for SINGA award.
- Make sure information provided during account registration in the portal is correct, as the information will be used for verification upon your first log in.
- Make sure you select the right Scholarship when applying, select “Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA)” in the application portal.
- Make sure you indicate your choice of supervisor when filling the application form.
- Do not mail any hard copy documents to the SINGA office.
- Ensure you submit your application as early as possible. This will give your referee sufficient time to submit their online recommendation letters before the application deadline, as only applications with 2 recommendation reports will be processed.
- Ensure all data provided in the online application form is correct before submission. After submission, it cannot be amended.
Deadline for (SINGA) Award 2023:
Deadline for submission for January 2024 intake is 1st June, 2023 (2359hrs GMT +8 Singapore Time). Applicants are required to submit their application form before the deadline to be considered for the SINGA Award.
Remember, only shortlisted candidates will be notified within 12 weeks from the application closing date.
