NNPC/SPDC Joint Venture University Scholarship 2023 – The Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) of Nigeria Limited in partnership with NNPC, SPDC, TEPNG, AGIP in the race of promoting education excellence to create employment opportunities for young Nigerians.
The deadline for the NNPC/SPDC Joint Venture University Scholarship is February 3rd, 2023.
The scholarship is open to eligible and qualified Nigerian students who are admitted into Full time academic studies in 2022/2023 academic session to apply.
Application for the Shell scholarship is totally free. The scholarship is a merit-based scholarship and it is offered in two categories which is the National Merit Award (NM), and the Areas of Operation Merit Award (OM).
The National Merit Award (NM) is open to all Nigerians while the Areas of Operation Merit Award is open to only applicants who are indigenes of SPDC’s operational areas like Delta, Rivers, Imo, and Bayelsa States.

Eligibility for the NNPC/SPDC Joint Venture University Scholarship
To be eligible for the NNPC/SPDC Joint Venture University Scholarship, applicants are expected to meet the following criteria:
- Applicant must be a Citizen of Nigeria
- Applicant must be undergoing a full-time undergraduate studying in an approved University in Nigeria.
- Applicant must be in 200 level (in January 2023)
- Applicant must not be a candidate who have receive any other scholarship from companies operating in the oil and gas industry nationally or internationally.
Required Documents for the NNPC/SPDC University Scholarship
The following documents are required for thee NNPC/SPDC Joint Venture University Scholarship application. The following scanned documents will be required from applicants:
- A white background passport photograph (450 x 450 pixel and not more than 200kb)
- Clearly scanned School ID card
- Admission Letter (From JAMB or University)
- JAMB Result
- Identification Letter from State (showing your Local Government Area of Origin)
- Signed Identification letter from your Community Paramount Ruler
- Operational Award applicants are expected to provide scanned copies of identification letter which will be signed by the following persons
- The Paramount Ruler of the community
- The chairman of the community Development Committee or Community Executive Council. They should be addressed to: The Manager, Social Performance, The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (Shell), Shell Industrial Area, Port Harcourt, Rivers Sate.

- Applicants from the Operational Areas are expected to provide scanned copied of identification letters which must be stamped and signed by (a) The Paramount Ruler (b) Chairman of the Community Development Committee or Community Executive council. And should be addressed to The Manager, Social Performance, The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (Shell), Shell Industrial Area, Port Harcourt, Rivers-State.

Application Deadline:
Application was open on January 3rd, 2023 and will close on February 3rd, 2023. Applicants are expected to submit their applications on or before the application deadline.
The Aptitude Test
Once you are selected for the Aptitude test, you tare to go to the test center with hard copies of all your credentials. It is advisable to check your email regularly to know when you are invited for the aptitude test.
Scholarship Verification Process
A verification process will be conducted by SPDC Joint Venture as part of the screening exercise preceding to the Award.
